• MASTERING THE SIDDHIS •
A Breakthrough for Meditators

Twenty-seven centuries ago, Patanjali, the great Seer (maharishi) of Vedic meditation, cognized his masterpiece, The Yoga Sutras.

A sutra is a consciousness formula. Yoga is the experience of unity of one's individual mind with cosmic mind. In his treatise, Patanjali describes the method for achieving mastery of the relationship between individual human potential and the laws of nature. Very few masters have fathomed the truth of Patanjali's teaching and techniques, and consequently his teaching had faded into obscurity until recently.

A siddhi is an extraordinary human power, a rare capability to interact with the laws of nature to manifest desires, the power to engage the laws of nature in order to live in accord with them from within one's deep level of bliss consciousness. Once mastered, the siddhis are considered to be the most powerful and advanced technique in a meditator's repertoire.

For more than a decade, Vedic Meditators have appealed to our meditation master, Thom Knoles, to teach the siddhis. Thom's reply always has been that this is a very advanced program, strictly for those meditators who have demonstrated a dedication to their daily practise of Vedic Meditation and who have embraced the Vedic worldview in their lives. Now, with numerous graduates of his course Exploring the Vedas, and in his fourth decade of teaching Vedic Meditation, Thom feels confident to teach the siddhis to a limited number of meditators this August. This will mark a significant breakthrough in knowledge and experience for meditators everywhere.

In agreeing to teach this rare Vedic knowledge, Thom has said that learning the siddhi techniques is not enough; that to justify his teaching, the purpose of the course must be nothing short of mastery of the siddhis. Therefore, this is a program relevant to those who wish to revolutionise their daily practice to levels beyond anything that has been experienced thus far - to advance to mastery.

Prerequisites:
This course exclusively for the advanced Vedic meditator. The prerequisite for Mastering the Siddhis is completion of instalments 1-6 of Exploring the Veda.

The sixth and final instalment of MASTERING THE SIDDHIS will take place in November 13 - 16, 2008 (14 - 17 in Australia). There is time to catch up on earlier instalments if you are interested. Please contact Sonia via email, or call her at 310.703.8677 for particulars.

Mastering the Siddhis is being taught in six instalments.
Each instalment consists of three 2.5-hour sessions of training. A new instalment in Mastering the Siddhis will be conducted by Thom, live, every three months:

  • 13, 14, 15, 16 November 2008
The techniques of Mastering the Siddhis must be learned sequentially, instalment by instalment. Though we have already completed Mastering the Siddhis, Instalment One - Five, it is possible easily to catch up and join the other students for Mastering the Siddhis, Instalment Six.

With each instalment you will learn a new practice that brings with it enormous, lifelong benefit. Therefore, meditators are encouraged to participate, for however many instalments you can manage to attend, even if at this stage you can only manage to attend the first instalment.
